Off topic, but what's parking like in Camden on a Thursday?

Sorry for the OT post, but I'm trying to work out whether to go to a gig in Camden next year, and now that I no longer live in Wembley, or Luton, I am lumbered with a cracking train service where the last train is at 9pm
Just trying to work out if braving the rush hour to drive the 60 miles makes more sense, as at least I have a guaranteed way home afterwards.
My other option is to drive part of the way, ie Reading, and then train it from there, the trains to Reading run pretty late.
Cheers
Dan

Parking in Camden = less than ideal, depending what time you get there.
How about trying to stay over in London somewhere? Travelodge/premier inn or something?1 -
Thanks for the confirmation LIT- I thought that might be the case......
We do have some friends around Finsbury park, could probably crash out over there.

Bearing in mind yellow lines are free after 6.30 (or is it 7?), as are parking meters, wouldn't it be pretty much fine?0
-
I wouldn't have thought it'd be a problem finding a space. Which venue is it? I'll pay more attention to the parking situation on the way home if it's anywhere enroute.0

Good points re yellow lines, it's the Koko in Camden town, never been myself.
It's on Camden High Street, right near Mornington Crescent tube.
Thanks for the kind offer Brun!

I got clamped in Camden.....no clamping signs up, but they clamped me anyway and wanted to charge me £300 for the release. Luckily it was a company car, so I left it and got the train home - Also deflated the tyres on the clampers van as I walked off, he was busy clamping another car next to mine.......It eventually got towed and they wanted £1500 + costs, so I told them to keep the car as I had another. Leasing company eventually paid the costs and then sued for fraudulent clamping (as you cannot clamp without signs and a fair release fee) - funnily enough, Camden Borough council were not interested. Still, my lesson learned - never ever go to Camden:
A, it is a shithole
B, You cannot park anywhere ever.
C, Amy Winehouse lives there and she has lots of skin problems.0 -
Right, I reckon you should be able to park somewhere on or around Arlington Road. Went through there about 7.30 last night and there were plenty of spaces, and no parking restrictions after 6.30 during the week. Shouldn't put you any more than five minutes walk from Koko.
So GTV got two out of three right.0 -
