Stuff to keep dry for a 3 mile commute.
Hi.
Well I want to make sure my legs keep dry on a 3 mile commute to college, I never went in today because it was so wet I'd be soaked and I have no intention of getting a bus, anyway, will mudguards keep my backside dry and the back of my upper legs? I know some people would consider waterproof trousers but when I have to walk through a college with 16-18yr old in its abit odd so I don't want to hassle of waterproof trousers.
So would mudguards work? bear in mind it is a road bike so might need race blades or something?

Riding on wet roads it is the feet that get wettest, proper full length mudguards (SKS p35's) work really well to prevent this, and of course the rear one totally prevents the wet ar*e/brown stripe problem. I am not sure race blades go sufficiently low down at the front to prevent this.0

So no way to prevent wet back of legs?
Need to get something in the next couple of days really.0 -
Mudguards will keep your legs dry.0

Mudguards and waterproof overtrousers. Take overtrousers of in the bike shed so you don't walk through college wearing them. Sadly cycling is still not cool though so people may still laugh at you.0

Where do you guys live??
I never had any trouble with college, although there were a hell of a lot of people that cycled in so I guess it was more accepted.0 -
