Mongoose Tyax Elite - 2008 vs 2009?

Hi All,

I recently found bike radar and a few months back purchased a mongoose tyax elite 2008 model. It was a great bike, unfrotunately though it got stolen.. but thankfully I followed some advice from a bikradar member and took out an insurance policy with cycleguard!

For my replacement bike I was promised the next model of this bike, the mongoose tyax elite 2009. However when it arrived it looks almost identical to the last bike (even though it says 2009 in the invoice).

Can someone confirm to me what the difference is between the 2009 and 2008 model? Its the one with black and green on (if thats helps!)....

They are almost the same, Mongoose are one of the few brangds that haven't down spcced for 09

But does anyone know what the specific differences are so I can check which model mine is?

Go to the Evans website and have a look at the pics. They look different the 09 model has mongoose written in much bigger letters.

Hi,

I thought this was the case... (eg that the newer ones are grey with mongoose looking different...) but my bike is the green/black old style, which is why im concered that its the old model!...

hmm....

Any more thoughts?

If it looks like the old model then it probably is.
