First ride on road bike

Firstly planet x pro carbon flew today was great. Secondly tho first time wearing foot clips on the pedals was pretty terrifying at times. I forgot I was wearing them twice and went into a mad panic at the lights just about managing to save myself. What puzzled me abit was that I was shattered by the end of it and have rode 5 times further on my Kona Jake the Snake?? Any answers? I was going quicker then usual I suppose but was totally wiped out

    You probably have not learnt to relax on it yet. As your confidence grows you will. Tension uses a lot of energy.
