Touching Up Chipped Paint

I have an orange Land Rover G4 bike, and while fitting new forks dropped them on the frame. This cracked a small part of the paint and there is a small chip in the paint, leaving the aluminium bare underneath. Has anyone got any tips ti fill in this gap, so that it will not chip further? WIll enamel paint work, and will it seal it over to prevent it from chipping?

I inspected the rest of my bike and found that there is another small chip under my pedals, so I can use this to experiment on as it is not seen, whereas the other one is on the top.

Thanks!

  • Try and find a colour match touch up paint pot from your local car shop £5.00, then use clear laquer to seal or clear nail varnish.

    Hope this helps
  • OK, I will do that.

Would enamel paint (modelling paint) work on aluminium?
