This morning, as my other half started work at the same time as myself, I drove her to her workplace before driving on to mine. Then, a quarter of an hour before finishing work, I was disappointed to realise that I had to drive home, because I didn't have my bike.

I guess I'm hooked then. :D

If I have to take a bus or get a lift I hate it. Theres no feeling of control when you're sat in traffic

It's odd how it can get to you like that. The 35min ride home is for me a little bit of my space and a chance to relax after a day at work. I get home in a better mood i think (should check that with the wife) and in general feel better.

I can't believe I spent so long driving, over 9 years. Now in the past 6 months I have only had to use the car a hand full of times.

Guess I am hooked too. :P
  • i hate it when i'm not able to ride to work. Although I try to take a break every couple of months for a week just to rest the legs

i even miss my bike when i go on holiday!!! :(

but now I've got a foldie and a case so i take it with me :D

the 20 minute ride to uni is what gets me up in the morning. i love the experience, the streets, the people, even the weather conditions(wet or dry) or just the sense of freedom, even after almost 2 years of commuting in london.

totally agree with coffeecup, miss my bike when i'm on holiday

Why did you drive the OH to her workplace? If it's because she doesn't drive, fair enough, but if you had the option of cycling and didn't, are you really hooked ?

Today is a good day to ride

Correct, she doesn't drive yet. She doesn't cycle yet either: she had her first lesson last week. We've almost got the balance cracked. :)
