GIant SCR3- 2008model

My LBS has the above bike in stock @ £299, as it is the 08 model.

Took it out for 45mins, and seemed to get on well with it.

At the moment, I have a Spesh RockHopper, so am not really into road cycling, but would like to get started.

Is this bike OK for a "beginner" to road cycling?

    Absolutely, it is a bargain at that price but make sure it is the correct size for you. :D

    I can tell you I've spent a lot of time comparing prices online recently, and that's an unbelievable price for that bike. 100 quid cheaper than I've seen it anywhere else.

    I may just have to go and get it then...shame they're not open on Sundays!

    I bought one 3 months ago from DeVer cycles, thought I was doing well at £370 - go get it! :P

    get it, got 1 also in sept from dever cycles same price as MacPee its great I use for the commute and also on weekends

    Well I rung the shop today, and they still had it, so I went down this afternoon.

    Took it out for a spin again, and then decided...I would have it.

    Got a wireless bike computer with it, for a very good deal. Picking it up tomorrow!
