Can anyone add to this list of trail centres?

http://www.imba.org.uk/index.php?page=Map_Challenge_Trails

I notice that Stainburn forest and Wharncliffe woods are missing. Can you add any more trail centres? To qualify for the list it should at least have man made waymarked trails.

A toilet, cafe, bike hire/shop, car park and an OS grid reference wouldn't go amiss either.

I have a list on the website I made
    MTB Trail Time

From a quick glance I dont think you have Chicksands or Woburn on there.

Wow that's a really nice website. I have added it to my favourites.

It makes this thread seem like a waste of time. I notice you have Sherwood Pines missing so perhaps there may still be some use to be gained from it.

I didn't find your site when I googled trail centres so I wonder if you could do something to get more search engine hits. I understand this is the place to start http://www.dmoz.org/

    Thanks for the DMOZ link.

I have added my site to their list.
Also I have added Sherwod Pines to my site.

I can add a link to your map in my Useful Links section if you want

Forest of Dean is on the IMBA but not on the MTB Trail Time site.

There is the FODCA cross country (a bit short) and a downhill course and some family trails on disused railway tracks.

    Bike hire, Cafe and Parking

Jedforest Trails, Jedburgh is on the IMBA but not trailtime. However IMBA dont list any stars for trails and facilities. Is it worth a visit.?

    The Justice Trail - 40Km
The Justice Trail is a challenging cross country mountain bike route with changing landscapes and surfaces. Where nature has been given a helping hand you’ll find swoopy, bermy, jumpy flowing singletrack.

Any good? Are there any facilities? Is it a trail centre or an XC route?

Time to add Lee Quarry in Bacup as well. They've finally put the signs up and officially openned the trails a couple of weeks ago.

Good job Nonnac. It looks like you did a bit of research on the new additions.

I have just found this one:
"The Hamilton Hill Freeride Park is brought to you by the Rasen Area Trailblazerz MTB Club, a group of local riders dedicated to bringing you the best in MTB trails.

Our aim is to bring North Shore, Downhill, 4X, and Dual Slalom courses to Lincolnshire. Yes, i said Lincolnshire."

But it might be under construction and not officially open yet because they don't appear to have any directions to it on their website although they do say it is at Hamilton Hill situated within Willingham woods at Market Rasen. (A new thread I think)

I found out about it because it was mentioned on a singletrack forum that the Rasen Area Trailblazerz have signed a contract to build the north shore parts for Sherwood Forest.

Also noticed someone has written a book about trail centres.

Ive heard of Hamilton before - i didnt put it on as its website said something about it being private and you have to apply for a membership through their website before you are allowed onsite (a bit like Herts Shore). Could have changed though (does anyone know what the state of play is?). Will have a look again and see if i can find details of someone to email first.

Just had another mooch round the site. Very nice. Really good clear simply laid out format, good info and display. I was trying to find something to criticise (I'm really picky) and couldn't.

    Excellent job, well done.

Decembers MBUK has a Trail Master supplement which reviews 14 of the top trail centres. I think its well worth a read so get out and buy it quick before the January edition hits the shelves.
