Hutchinson Toro XC Marathon

Am about to purchase a pair of Hutchinson Toro's but before I split with the cash, have a query.
The reviewed tire was the xc marathon compound, and was tubless ready, £35. They got 10/10 in this months mbr.
I dont use tubless, and should save some £££ as the ones I've seen

are six quid cheaper, but on the site they got 9/10 from the same mag, and no mention of the xc marathon compound.
Then the bikeradar site has given them 3.5/5 (7/10).
Could the Toros I'm looking at not be as good as the reviewd tubless tyre, and could the compund and characteristics variey from the tubless? They still tick all the boxes for me, but there are so many tyres out there and one more confusion I could do without.

Quality tyre, I've just seen them rated 10/10 in MBR this month. I use the tubeless version.
