Vicious heavy metal staple

Got a puncture last night because a decidedly vicious heavy metal staple (on the road, why?!) managed to put three holes in my inner tube :evil:

Evil, evil staple. Pah.

(Sigh....just needed to vent). As you were.

    I do notice that there is a lot of 'metal' debris on the roads. The most popular metal item are bolts. I can only assume that these have fallen off car engines? They don't look new.
