Anyone done this?
I would be interested in people's views as I am looking at doing this next year as my first serious ride in several years, but training time is likely to be limited as I am currently off the bike (nasty knee injury) and will not be in shape to get any real mileage in until around February at the earliest.
So, is the course particularly testing or is it do-able as a "turn-up-and-ride"?
Any other recommended sportives/events in Kent?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Mark
Did this earlier this year without any real training at all. If you can ride around 50 - 60 miles, then the exitement of the day will get you through. This is a well organised event and the food stations are second to none. This is a must ride for your calender next year.
Good Luck.

I am doing the Castle 100 next year, I have been told it is quite a nice sportive to do, not very hard at all. There are a few others that will take place in Kent.
San Fairy Ann CC promote their sportive on the 4th May, http://www.cyclosport.org/eventdetails. ... entid=1058
There is the Circuit of Kent sportive on the 13th September, this is a good sportive, starting and finishing in Sevenoaks.

This is a little further a field but you will be able to get there and back in a day. Lovely ride through mid Essex. Turn up and enter.
