I have finally sorted out my new bike, a Kona Jake 09 model. Loverly bike, looks fantastic and seems to be very well built. I'm mostly buying it for a winter commute, sad I know but who knows, maybe I will give some proper sport a go

Then about half an hour ago, having a flick through a cycing plus mag the thought occured to me. No reflectors? I dont remember seeing any atleast..? So I've sent a late night email to the shop to ask, but I'll check when I pick it up on sunday.

Of ALL the things I should have checked.

The reflectors will be there. Probably at the bottom of the box, in a little bag, along with the bell (which also has to be supplied with new bikes) and the warranty card nobody ever fills out...

Just make sure the shop don't forget to give it to you, because it will have been shipped with your bike.

Uhh yes they wil defo be there, press pics usually take them off as they look a lot cleaner and uncluttered without them.

Most shops will fit them, as legally it isn't allowed to leave the shops without reflectors and the obligatory bell.

    Ahh cool...

I emailed the shop last night just to be sure. My main worry was that this is a sports bike rather than a road bike, if you get me, and it was pics of the pedals that made me wonder.

    :)

Actually I hope the bell is nice and small, my last one was a monster. Saw a barbie air horn in tesco yesterday, said to my mother perhaps I should fit one as a cheap Airzound alternative  How funny would that be on a 'cross bike.
