This has probably been posted a million times but the search function on here isn't great!
Here's my very basic understanding of setting up forks...
Place a zip tie around the base of one of the fork stanchions and sit on the bike normally, then get off the bike and measure how far the zip tie has moved. For a plush ride I understand you want about 25% of the available travel to be used as sag, this is the amount the zip tie has moved. So for example, my fork is 140mm of travel, so the zip tie should move about 35mm with me on the bike. If it has moved more, add more air, and let air out if the zip tie has not moved enough. The same applies for the rear shock.
Does that make sense or is it overly simplistic?
My fork is a Marzocchi XC 600 ATA2, so it has travel adjust...if I set up the forks at the full 140mm setting will it be ok for the 120 and 100mm settings too?

Yep, that is how you measure sag. Best to do it in the longer setting, the spring rate should adjust for the lower ones anyway. Measure standing on the pedals though.0

Will do, thanks for that.0
