'08 full sus bargins?

Sorry for another what bike thread but I'm seriously thinking of replacing my current steed instead of paying a few hundred to keep it running till cycle to work in April.
I mostly ride the 7stanes trail centres but have been up to Fort William a few times and will be giving Inners d/h a bash. Not after a full on d/h bike but it will probably need to be able to cope with it.
I don't mind carrying a bit of extra weight up the hills (I have enough to lose myself) and am fairly aggressive on the downs. I'd rather sacrifice the uphill performance to get more from the downs.
So, has anyone spotted any 08 bargins with 5+ inches for up to £1.5k from anywhere that does 0% finance????
I've seen the Trek Ex8 and the Iron Horse 6Point4 in/on budget so far.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure it's reduced, but could be worth calling them.

Thanks for all the advice so far, loving the look of the Mongoose.
I am considering the Marin range but my mate got one this year and I don't want to step on his toes!! Must see if he'll give me a go on it (hint, hint if you read this mate!!!).
Will have a look over all the specs at work tomorrow, my internet is as slow as tonight, then I'll look round the local shops over the weekend to see what I can see/demo.
Please keep the recommendations coming, they are much appreciated.Current steed is a '07 Carrera Banshee X

That does look like a bargin but only available in large/xl. Medium for me. Looks like there are another few on the site for me to have a look over.Current steed is a '07 Carrera Banshee X

Just been in the same boat as yourself and I got myself to Scotby in Carlisle. I picked out a demo 7 for 1400 but was also pretty gob smacked to see 2 pitches, one for 900 and the other for 1100. Both myself and a friend were blown away with the build kit for that money. They've got a fairly large stock all on sale at the minute so they might be worth a phone call and a quick blast down the A7.0

I am searching for a bike just like youve described Steve, im still saving up though cos my parents dont want me to be in a finance deal since im going to uni next year. Ive seen this http://www.evanscycles.com/products/specialized/sx-trail-fsr-i-2008-mountain-bike-ec001427 - reviews look promising and seems like the ideal bike. I also looked on Pauls Cycles and so many bikes are reduced by as much as 40%. This looks good too http://paulscycles.co.uk/products.php?plid=m1b0s1p562"Its all fun and games till someone gets hurt, then its hilarious"

The SX is pretty much a full on FR bike - I wouldn't want to do trail centre rides on that!"Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

I test rode the SX-trail last week with the hope that I would get on with it enough to enjoy trail centres and fully use it on uplift days.
Unfortunately I didn't instantly fall in love with it. Just felt like it would be a long long slog to get that weight uphill then never fully used coming back down at the trail centres. Was a bit gutted as at £1300 is seemed a steal.
I want to test ride whatever I buy so that is even more difficult to pick up a web bargin.
I'm taking the Iron Horse out for a ride in anger on Saturday. Had rode it on the roads around the shop and it felt perfect as soon as I swung my leg over it. Hopefully the hunt will end on Saturday!Current steed is a '07 Carrera Banshee X
