Rear Cassette Not Changing Gear.

Today on my way to work my rear 8 speed cassette would change down from 8th to 1st, but will not go from 1st to 8th unless I pull the cable under the top bar of the frame.

Help PLEASE

sounds like you need to give the cables some love.

clean and lube or replace.

Some light oil (e.g. 3-in-1) would probably be better.

Remove inners clean and then run oil through outers - otherwise replace...... :shock:

Splash out £2.50 and get a new cable.

Have you tried turning the barrel adjuster a couple of turns, that should take out any cable stretch.
