Rear Cassette Not Changing Gear.

Today on my way to work my rear 8 speed cassette would change down from 8th to 1st, but will not go from 1st to 8th unless I pull the cable under the top bar of the frame.

Some light oil (e.g. 3-in-1) would probably be better.0

Remove inners clean and then run oil through outers - otherwise replace...... :shock:0

Have you tried turning the barrel adjuster a couple of turns, that should take out any cable stretch.
