XC near dovestone reservoir?

Alright chaps, lets see if i can pick your brains...

I am delivering a boat to dovestone reservoir in the peak district on saturday so thought i may as well make the most of it and chuck the bikes in the van... what is good to cycle round there? I have heard something about ladybower reservoir? Technical, hilly, long distance... its all good!
