JE JAMES and Folding Bikes

JE JAMES had a good price on a Dahon Speed pro so I bought one. or at least I though I did. After a week they called to say the one they were shipping had bad scratches so were going to send another. When this arrived it had bad scratches and to top it all - no pedals. They assured me the pedals were in there when they sent it! This was probably an omen. ( I can recognise pedals ) . When I had retouched my brand new bike and fitted the replacement pedals - I discovered the main hinge on the stem was broken in half - cant be fixed. They are going to collect.
When things started to go wrong the friendly and helpful bit of their service promise disappears.
Has anyone else had this issue?
can anyone recommend a decent folding bike and supplier? Bike travels to london by train then does 5miles across the city.
Thanks

the bromptons are very nice, but it depends what you want, depending on speed of fold or comfort of ride. Give walton street cycles a phone up, they're very good and sell roughly a third of their bikes as folders.0

Thanks I will!
Of course I want it all - speed to fold - speed to ride and a little comfort!0
