  • Hats off to you! I noticed on Monday that my cyclocomp was showing 106 miles, so I've just snuck over the 100 mark (halfway to Cardiff!). But 700, and all that weight loss: congratulations!
  • Well done!!

I wish you all the best for continuing with this! :D

I haven't a clue, but try starting a thread in the Commuting - Workshop forum. Nicklouse picked up on both (?I think it was two) of my threads quickly, with very helpful answers, or else you could try and PM him.

Well done - don't get too hung up on the weight thing, just keep fit and happy!
  • Chapeau!! 13st.

This must be quite surreal from your point of view? you truly are a shadow of your former self :D

Well done! I passed 500 a while back and it felt gooood!

re: gears - does the rear mech or cable move at all when you work the shifters? Maybe the cable has got gunked up and is sticking?
Today is a good day to ride
  • Condratulations that is an amazing achievement.

Just bear in mind, that is like cycling from London to Avignon. Quite an achievement. :D

Has the cable stretched? It might just be a matter of tightening the cable which couldn't be easier - it's likely one of the ones on your downtube, and if your bike's like mine, the thing you turn is near the top, where the cable exits the housing.

Brilliant, that is an amazing amount of weight to lose in that time. You will be flying up the hills. I lost half a stone and noticed the difference, you must feel like you have found a turbo!

Regarding your rear mech, I would check that when you change gear that the cable tries to move. Can you feel a difference in tension in the cable even though the rear mech isn't moving? Does the cable go very slack when you change down?
