Yes, thats right campers; it's that time of year for the CFCN (Christmas Food Chain Number).
I will expect: tinsel, rudolph noses and happy santas decorating every part of your steed - Personally I will be going down the tinsel on top tube (purple) and possibly a santa handlebar fixture thingy - anyone copying someone else's "style" will be killed....in the true Christmas spirit....*this may not happen*

I would suggest trying your "blinging" out before you commit it to full road use: no point in getting tinsel in your chainset and spending Christmas, with a drip and a "nil by mouth" sign on your neck after stuffing it into the front of a builders van, damaging the faded copy of "The Sun" from july 1993 that is resident on the dashboard.

CFCN + list
+1 - tinsel
+2 - tinsel and a christmassy item stuck somewhere
+3 - tinsel, christmassy item + a stolen christmas tree decoration
+4 - All the above + an item of Christmas food (i.e. Stollen) taped to your steering tube.
+1000 - All the above + a santa suit and clipped in.

+1 for each item individually (i.e. the more you can jam on your bike, the more points you have......)

+ 1 million if you get full on Christmas tree lights working from a dynamo......

So, get your thoughts together and post your pics.......

Hmm off to eBay for some Christmassy tat, I think

I'm thinking one of those "christmas arch" light things on the bars. I used to have a mini battery powered one that I converted to run off a Molex connector inside my PC...
Today is a good day to ride

Well I've just stuck a load of retro-reflective tape on my commuter. It will look mighty pretty, even stuck a bit on my rims, dunno what it will look like when I'm going along, but it can't do any harm! :D

Now it almost glows in the dark!!!

Oh - Spen - Where's your spirit.....Lawyers can celebrate Xmas, surely?! I'll buy you a nice hat and scarf combo....!
  • My local LCC borough group are doing cycling santas again this year to raise money for the children's wheelchair user charity Whizz-Kidz. As a relatively new member I may join them :D Not sure about wearing the uniform to work though

My kids think the aero-bars on my road bike look like antlers. You won't be finding any Xmas tat on that though. Bah humbug indeed.
