I am willing to spend $2500 on a new road bike. Which one do you suggest?

Thanks.

What type of bike are you looking for?? something to go out and thrash? a nice comfy one you can ride all day long?

I have recently built a new race bike a velo vie vitesse 300se - absolutely love it. You could have a look at some of the other bikes in their range a vitesse 200 should be about on budget I would have thought. They are also the most friendly and helpful company I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
Otherwise I am a fan of Cannondales.

  • You have to go a long way to beat the Cervelo S1 (formerly the Team) with Ultegra SL at around that price. See my (and others) fanboy rant here: http://www.bikeradar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12593669

It's aluminum rather than carbon but seriously don't let that put you off test riding one.
  • Trekk Madone 5.2 - absolutely superb.

Read reviews on the net and see for your self.

Do you mean $ or £?

If $ and you're in the States I wouldn't have a clue what prices bikes are over there. But would have thought that US manufacturers would be better value then overseas brands.

You might get the frames for $2500 but not much else.

I don't think you could wrong with a CAAD9 and some decent kit if you're from the States.
