Pedals

Decided to put my shiny new speedplay zeros on, but have hit a stumbling block.
I forgot that a friend put on my current pedals, and whilst I assumed they were spanner-on ones, I've just discovered they're not. And I've only ever dealt with spanner ones before.
How do I get them off? They're Look/Keo Classics?
Anyone?

i guess there is a nice allen key hole in the back of the axle?
a right pain in the BUTT to change.
DO NOT try an allen key.
An allen bit in a holder and a ratchet driver."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

The back of the axle - is that the end of the crank?
I'm not sure I have an allen bit. What is an allen bit?
They guy who put them on just used tools I already had?
Help me, I'm a *girl*0 -

Thanks. I think the issue is I don't have an 8mm hex wrench.
How on earth he managed to put the pedal on in the first place is beyond me. Anyway, I shall go shopping tomorrow.
But I now have the problem of speedplay cleats on the shoes and Look pedals on the bike, and I need to do another 30 minutes on the turbo.

Sorted, got myself an 8mm hex key (couldn't find anything that wasn't a key), and easily removed the old pedals when I got home.
Then spent two hours trying to clip in, which included lots of swearing and getting off the bike and stamping my feet and screwing up my face ready to cry like a a three year old girl. Attractive.
Finally managed to clip in, and since then I've managed to get in and out most times.
They are quite stiff though, and I've got them on the most float. Main reason I got these is that I wanted something very easy to use. So far, they're not0
