Reba race forks

I've noticed a small amount of oil comes out of the top of the forks when I tip the bike upside down. It seems to be coming out from the small brass/gold twisty bit (floodgate?) with a '+' and '-' on it.

Is this normal?

Seems to be happening a lot with these forks - though upside down storage isn't ideal.

    you say a small amount?

i had the same thing with a set of reba teams & spoke to tf tuned who said a small amount around the floodgate dial was normal .green oil if i remmember.
  • The Rebas shouldn't be stored upside down for extended periods. If you can't avoid it, you will need to keep a close eye on the oil level.

It's only a very small amount, not a drip, more of a smear really.

I don't store it upside down, it's only like that for maintenance.
  • Is everything done up as it should be?
  • If it's just a smear when the fork has been inverted I wouldn't worry. Any more than that and you may need to check the top cap seal.
