I ordered a box of 10 inner tubes from Ribble last Wednesday which were delivered on Friday. However, they actually sent me a box of 25! Would you get in touch with them to let them know what they'd done?

For the hassle of paying for postage back, restocking etc, they'll probably just tell you to keep them, so you may as well tell them.
  • I agree with whyamihere, you might want to order from them again.

I actually emailed them on Friday to let them know. Just wondered what everyone elses thoughts were.

They emailed me back today to say that they would arrange to collect them.

  • This reminds me of when i ordered a new MTB from a online bike shop which shall remain unnamed. The delivery man knocked on the door and said ive got 2 bikes for you. Yes thats right i ordered and paid for 1 bike but they sent me 2.

A day later i get a phone call from them, im thinking they are going to say can you send us 1 of our bikes back but no they wanted to apologize for my bike not been delivered on time as i paid for next day delivery and that a £30 gift voucher would be sent in the post to me.
  • P.s in all my years (only 7 to be honest) of working in various sales/telesales/ online ordering/customer service jobs never have i once had someone complain about getting to little, when they don't get what's expected though some act as though WW3 is going to brake out......i need a new job

    So you kept the bike?

  • happened to me twice - once got a delivery of a new washing machine then they delivered another one the next day - needless to say it went straight into the garage, left it 6 months then went on ebay

same thing happened with a leather sofa I got once as well, didnt wait 6 months for that though and was very disappointed at the auction price !!

  • It depends who it was, if it was a large retailer that it wouldn't affect etc. (e.g. tesco) then i'd have kept them.

If it was a smaller store then i'd probably offer to send it back or something.
