Hi all, first post. Looking for some replacement 1" forks that will fit my bike (Orange P7 2001). I have only come across some Marzocchi MX pro on the CRC website. What else is out there? :? And where do I Buy? No luck on Google. Need to be 100mm travel and have lock out. Thanks :)
Its not what bike you have, its how you ride it that matters. Get out there!

pace and magura also do some.

    LBS time.

But are you sure it has a 1" steerer?

as most bikes had gone 1 1/8" by then.

    Get it checked.

  • My old p7, (early 90s vintage) has the 1" steerer, but I thought like nicklouse that they'd gone over to the 1 1/8th by 2001, but I may well be wrong.

On the other hand if you do manage to source some reasonable 1" forks I would be interested, as I would quite like to swap the old RC-36s for some disk brake compatible forks.
  • Cheers for the reply. Deffo has the 1 inch steerer as it has a new headset recently. I bought it in 2001. Dont know the history of the P7, it has the nickel frame finish if that is anything to go by. The forks are a bit tired now and could do with replacing. I only use this bike for commuting mostly on road seen a few pace forks online and they dont specify a tupe diameter same with magura sent email so see if they have something to suit. Will update when I have a reply.

  • Does any one know when the P7 came with the rear disc brake boss?

you will have to order the fork.

    talk to your LBS.

Mail Orange about the disc mounts.

    what is the current fork?

    wilI help age the frame.
