High Riser Bars

Hi there, i'm 6"5 with broad shoulders. My current handle bars are 630mm wide high risers. It was pointed out the other day that these may be too narrow. After sitting on all my mates bikes who are half me size i realised that their bars were far wider than mine and they arnt as broad as me!!!! What's the best bars for me with regards to width and what is the highest riser you can get??

There is no "best" size. Some prefer wide bars, other narrow ones. The ones you have on now are quite narrow. If you decided to go for wider ones you could look at going up to a 27 or 26 inch bar and then cutting them down if they felt too wide."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

whats the highest riser you can get, is it 2"/50mm?0

I've not seen anything any higher, but there may be something. If you need anything much higher then possibly the bike is too small for you? You could look at a higher rise stem in addition to the bars."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

my current bars are 60mm, i'll have a scout around. as for a bigger bike, they dont make 'em bigger!!!0

the frames a marin rock springs but all the components have been bigged up!! the stem is 140mm0

yeah maybe but i'm finishing dh sections and my upper arms are well pumped, i'm up for wider bars to see how it is0
