Ok, well don't seem to be getting much info on the original idea, i think it was a plan to do an over night ride to the coasrt to watch the sun rise or something.
How about we try and organise our own thing though, so when is convenient for everyone? What sort of speed are we thinking? What sort of route are we thinking? Also, any-one else interested?

Sounds good. I'm just the far side of Bath, but am wiling to do it. I'm free next wed/thur/fri/sat night.
Speed wise, I'm happy to ride at a slowish or not so slow pace. I did the Norwich 100mile ride in July in 5hrs 3min 17s (19.99mph average). I'm also going to be on a single speed so yeah, whatever route people think would be good. Hills don't scare me! 8)

It's not an SCR ride as such, just an opportunity to ride all night on relatively traffic free roads and watch the sun come up, I'm going to offer two rides, one shorter going to Glastonbury to watch the sun come up from the top of the Tor and another longer ride ending on the south coast, again hopefully in time to catch the sunrise.

I'll post full details on here as and when I've sorted a route and timings etc.

This is most definitely NOT going to be about speed and will probably have a fair percentage of "non-cyclists" in attendance..

Ok Attica keep us posted, in the meanwhile i'm up for a gentle jaunt, i got fri sat off, 20 mph over 100 miles though :shock: i'll give it a bash but No chance ! Anyone else available nxt fri/sat (the facebook one is not planned til april by the looks of things (don't worry about speed, should be more of a social thing, maybe stop somewhere fo a SCR/Morpeth arms type thing, i find it hard to meet others with the same love of road bikes :roll:

If you want an over night ride from Bristol, I highly recommend the Exmouth Exodus http://www.exmouthexodus.co.uk/ .

I did this years ride, it was my first long distance \ over night ride and I loved it.

Descending Cheddar Gorge in the dark is a bit of a buzz.
