Have checked my basic settings in case I checked/unchecked something but haven't.

Any help would be very welcome, as I have someone interested in an item I'm selling...

yes they stay there until the receiver reads them.
the search button also works

Thanks Nick, didn't notice that when sending messages previously...

My broadband was hanging earlier, so ended up sending the same message 8 times. Prospective buyer has now replied and have apologised etc :oops:
