Hi all,

I have gone an bought a ATC3K action cam, and was wondering where other people mounted cams on their bikes?

I have tried it on my helmet - however I find that the cam is very very jumpy when I play back.....

I was thinking about putting it on the handle bars, but I dont know if the bike vibrations would be even worse?

What would you guys suggest, namely the ones that have a cam?

Have a look at my efforts here http://uk.youtube.com/redvee2002. The early biking vids were on a Aluminium GT with the last vid on my On One with better disc brakes. With the ally frame there was a lot of vibration transmitted through to the bars, this is still the case with my steel On One but on a much lesser scale.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

thanks redvee, your vids seem alot better than mine have turned out so far.. maybe mounting it on the handlebar instead of helmet is the way to go?

I'm running at highest settings, 30fps with 2gb card grabbing 1:01 hours of footage. Got 2 spare cards just in case.

When you say "jumpy" what do you mean? Like audio or video stutter, pixilation issues or black cut outs?

Make sure your camera is properly attached, too, or that will affect the recording. The atc3k only records at 30fps so that shouldnt be an issue. I fixed mine to the handlebars for two reasons: 1) my comfort - it threw my helmet balance all out and 2) drivers dont notice it as easily or just assume its a light
