    Its a good job the thread was derailed. It might have degenerated into slagging off the taxi on the youtube vid who clearly comes barreling through a green light and nearly takes that poor cyclist out.

    watched it through several times and it looks very much like the courier cut inside of the van and pulled into the vans path...

    He definitely came up from behind though

    Showing my age here but I watched the original youtube video and while I can see the skill I spent my whole time shaking my head in disapproval of the RLJing, in particular over the ped crossings with several near hits.

    Then a very stange thing happened. I wateched the NYC messenger hit video. No idea who's fault it was but having seen the earlier vid my natural reaction was that it was the cyclist and "too bad". Alarming how easy it is to get into the motorist mind set - and a reminder to us all why we should pull up other cyclists when we catch them without lights or jumping lights. ...
