Bloody hell - looks suspiciously like I ride the same bike as the ex-president of the USA ! (Trek Top Fuel 0 8) Should have known something was up when mine was discounted with "one careless owner - may have seen some crunches".

Was that the bike advertised as coming with some nasty 'collateral damage', a whole heap of 'credit crunch' and a tendency to violently overthrow anyone who pushes it too far?

It said something about a 'cheney step down' on the sticker as well which I took to be some kind of fancy gear-shift. On the plus side, it was adverstised as capable of being ridden all the way to Bagdad unlike the older models.

I got 2 of my kids up the zig zag trail over the waterfalls at Longleat Centre Parcs on my wifes hybrid without dropping down passed the middle ring and some of those paths where steep!

Wasn't expecting to get much excercise last week when I was there, but as you found out it is a little sporting in places.

Apparently, despite the cowboy posturing, Bush is a credible cyclist:

I'd completely forgotten a wet Scotland injured Bush, even though I was living there at the time. Having been reminded, I shall look back on the almost constant rain with slightly more fondness.

Yep, that be the bugger! I did pass some people wheeling bikes up with kids in trailers! The poor bike wasn't really designed for those loads tho and the kids aren't as little as they used to be!

I'm suspecting you also ignored some of those "no cycling" roads then aswell

The G.W. picture is deceiving. He's actually in motion about to jump a barrier at a local
cyclocross race. That's why he's carrying. And you guys thought it was just for publicity.

He's at a crossroads, so has just pulled away again having probably come to a complete halt (the lovely four-way stop). That said, from the way he's going to mount the sidewalk, I think he's pretending to be a wheeled pedestrian. That must be legal where he is; the man in the car wouldn't be talking on his cellphone either if it were illegal to do so, would he? ;)
