Bizare day on the bus to town today. The temporary traffic lights heading on to Hill Lane in southampton were switched off or broken today, so the traffic in front of us gingerly headed onto the road with caution. The bus I was on edged out carefully and all of a sudden from the left a car screached on his brakes about 4 feet from us and hammered on his horn.
Now the car, imo, MUST have been waaaay over the 30mph limit. He cant of been paying attention as he would otherwise have noticed the other cars before us.
The bus was already out in the road and so went up to the next stop. Said moron in the car pulls up parallel and begins giving the driver grief. Bus Driver, very calmly tried to explain about the lights but the guys having none of it and went into a 30 second rant and then sits in front of us doing the brakey game a couple of times obviously trying to wind us all up.
Good bus driver - ignored moron.
Oh and another good bus driver this morning. Bus is pulling left onto the itchen bridge and a cyclist went down the left hand side trying to reach the cyclelane - which he shouldnt have done. Driver saw the guy and decided to let the cyclist go first.

The Arriva bus drivers around here, especially on the number 44 route are great!Steve C0

Cool. They get a bad press, along with HGV drivers, but I thought it was worth sharing that for balance.
I do miss riding a bike though, sitting on a bus is pretty boring. :oops:0 -

Good stuff.
Looking forward to seeing the video once you are in a position to post it! (From which you should not take it that I take pleasure in seeing a video of you getting knocked off by a motorist  )0
