Fancy an expresso?

Went to the gym today as weather was rubbish and found they have installed (on 1 month trial) an expresso cycling machine. A static bike linked to a tv monitor but instead of the usual tv to watch you can choose from various cycling disciplines / tracks / routes. Handlebars are provided to "steer" your bike round the course and there is a gear lever to adjust the wattage. You then pedal away and watch your progress on screen. Effort level adjusts automatically as the gradients change. Was told it can be set up to race against other machines either locally or remotely. It was certainly more interesting than the normal daytime tv tripe or rolling news channels.

sounds like a Tacx trainer? they have a fortius multiplayer so you can play across internet?

Rather expensive to randomly buy for home through, real real cool that you gym has something like this!!!!
