Bonfire night commuting

Anyone advise against this - I was going to anyway as the weather looks ok down here in South Wales, but has anyone had any bad experiences commuting on bonfire night - or this particular week when the kids are armed and dangerous?
All my life I've wanted to be someone; I guess I should have been more specific.

Depends on where you live, or if you go through *dodgy* areas - I would keep a low'ish profile (i.e darker kit and go faster!). I hate the fact that bonfire night started on Saturday in Brizzle - not great for pets.....and fecking annoying if you have small kids too!

Always nice to celebrate an act of terrorism though...
  • Slightly OT but I was in Bristol & the weekend and couldn't believe the mud where the fairground had been on Clifton Downs. On Sun morning even the 4WDs were spinning all 4 wheels trying to get out. That park is wrecked for the winter :(

Given it was 'foiled', is it not more celebrating the failure of terrorists to commit said act?

I mean, the celebration does involve burning an effigy of aforementioned terrorist....
  • The tale of Bristol reminds me of the bonfire night I'd been down the climbing wall (St. Werburghs) and ridden back through what seemed like a pitched battle between two groups of youths. Slightly alarming to watch a rocket fly horizontally down a street.
  • The worst I've has is having some water thrown at me (and missed) by the street urchins of Deptford.
