im seeking help, i want a strong pair of white rims to go with a set of hope pro 2 hubs. i need the rim to be real strong as i give them quite a bashing. any help will be great as im new to downhill
totally agree, a wheel built to 'that'll do' standards will fail whatever the components.
I build wheels, and have never had one of my own fail on me, even when I've trashed a frame. Not trying to sound good, just that when you build your own you can get everything right. Get some recommendations from friends who've had good experiences of a shop, preferably a local one.

the strength comes mainly from the build.
