Rubbish, it's for rich folks like myself. When I am in my private jet on my way to an exotic rendezvous with whichever supermodel I am currently dating, the shimano system allows me to remote control my gears from the cockpit. That way Winstanley (my valet) can carry on cycling on the turbo at home, whilst I select the gears for him. I do this so as to ensure in my absence the bike keeps turning over, which keeps the gears crisp.
That's what it does in my imagination anyway.+++++++++++++++++++++

that's about how useful / good value it is too0

Its a really good idea in theory - avoiding the need for wires and/or unreliable wireless to the cranks to get cadence, but I understand that execution has been lacking. I think they are now coming with GPS, altitude, HRM and all the other things that you really, really, really need.0
