a little note to say thank you to all that showed concern this am as i did my best to smash myself and my bike up as i hit some leaves on a slippery corner near keston parish church this am.
the value of a helmet can now be appriciated as i gave my head some contact with the ground..feeling good ..so far.then my derailler snapped and left me at the side of the road near west wickham.
a couple of people stopped both on bikes and one is a van.this i thank you for showing some concern
ps i saw a beautiful scene as i was recovering when i saw a old portlians member pushed up a hill...good on you lads

I'd just like to say a 'Thank You' to the utter bast*rds who drove past me as I lay in the middle (well, 'side') of a particularly nasty hairpin bend in Ripponden - so nasty my back wheel slid out from under me. I hope your journey wasn't too badly inconvenienced by my inert form lying, gasping on the cold, wet tarmac - left knee biffed to buggery, arm aching - thus making you move round me.
Although, on the plus side, the fact I'd become 'invisible' made me feel slightly less embarrassed...0 -
Wasn't it slippy on the weekend? I felt like a new born giraffe trying to stand for the first time0

Yeah, it was deadly! Probably the reason no-one stopped was because they were too busy p*ssing themselves laughing at some bloke trying to stand up / pick his bike up / avoid standing on his left leg / rub his arm etc while wearing cleats (not known for their grip) on a steep gradient.0
