I find that helmet mounted you cant see a lot of the bumps, roots etc because the light is shining down into them, so that there are no shadows. Bar mounted you obviousely can,t see round corners, so i have both. So in answer to your question, Hope on the bars and back up on your helmet.0

Yeah you'll be sorted with those, the Hope is an excelent light! How much did you pay for it and where from? I need some new lights.0

I bought the Hope Vision 4 Endurance (the one with extra battery) from Wiggle for £324, Chain Reaction sell them for £310 but are out of stock, i got sick of waiting for them coming in so thought sod it and payed the extra from Wiggle, the bummer is Tredz had them for about £286 but i pissed about wondering whether or not to buy them and when i went back they had gone up in price.
For a helmet light i was going to buy the Exposure Joystick which is around 250 lumens, i found a shootout test on the net and although the Dinotte is only 200 lumens it was actualy better than the Joystick.0 -
For those who are interested first pic is the Exposure Joystick at 240 lumens and the second pic is the Dinotte 200L at 200 lumens, strangely the Dinotte seems brighter,
Joystick, 240 lumens
Dinotte 200 lumens

helmet and bar combo gives the best of both worlds.0
