Lake District, for deffo. Best natural riding there is and if you stay away from the tourist centres you can't go wrong!0

I would do the cross lakes challenge that one of the magazines did a year or so ago... I think it was 80 kms with 6000m of ascent or thereabouts - most of which was pushing/hike a bike!

I love the way Bamburgh Castle just appears as you cycle down the road, top of a hill, then a bend and this masive castle just appears.
Add a wonderful seafood lunch in the pub at Craster and an overnight stay on Lindisfarne, and you have the recipe for a superb couple of days of quiet fun cyclingHe that buys land buys many stones.
He that buys flesh buys many bones.
He that buys eggs buys many shells,
But he that buys good beer buys nothing else.

If I had three days devoid of interruption, I'd do the West Highland Way, with a couple of nights in Kinlochleven so I could get around the Blackwater descent.
Alternatively, I'd like to do an overnight on Knoydart.0 -
The lakes, I love walking there, haven't got the chance to mtb there yet though.0
