Garmin / SportTracks anomaly?

I have a problem either with my GPS or SportTracks.... I suspect the latter

On Sunday I took a friend out to show them a possible route for a family trip, and downloaded the trip.....On to Garmin Training Centre and it shows the correct details, here it is on Bikely, a similar result appears if I download from

Yet when I download the same rout into Sport Tracks it is now nearly 600 miles and looks like this:

Has anyone else come across similar?

I bet you either turned off your Edge or paused the route at some point in the ride? You need to upgrade the firmware of your device.

I've never had a discrepancy this bad with my 705, but occasionally it throws a bit of a fit which shows up on Garmin Connect, but not on Training Centre (like my current top speed of 200mph+ on a little 20 mile jaunt a few weeks ago where as on the 705 it said 34mph) I think the actual unit itself can work out when there's an anomaly so doesn't log it but it's still stored there somewhere in the memory so when you upload it it reappears. I guess it's where it's losing GPS signal, then finding it again but not locating you accurately for a few seconds - that or some kind of interference. I've also changed the recording mode to every second rather than everytime something changes which can apparently help but don't know if you have this feature on the 305.
