Trek Remedy

I'm looking to draw upon the forums knowledge and expertise. I'm tempted to buy a Trek Remedy, but am unsure on frame size.
I'm 6ft and currently own a 08 Spesh FSR XC size large. I get on fine with this, but often see the MBUK/WMB guys drop a frame size when riding 6'' travel to improve handling/control on the rough stuff.
Anybody out there with personal experience they'd like to share? I don't have a local Trek dealer, so a simple test ride is not so simple. Many thanks, Matt.
