Which fork for a XC build?

Hi,
I've decided to build myself a new bike (first build!) for XC and trail use. The frame I have is designed for a 100mm fork. I'm thinking of either getting the Rockshox Sid Race or the Fox F100 RL/RLC but I can't decide which. Most of the club I ride with seems to have Fox forks but I'm not sure whether this is more for aesthetic reasons than performance ones! Any opinions/advice would be great. Thanks.

New SID is been raved about. I wouldn't think twice, it is lighter, cheaper and more adjustable than the Fox. (you need the RLC to get the bells and whistles)0

The Fox forks are really easy to service, but thats not really the reason to buy a set of forks. How XC is it? If you do more aggresive XC then the fox will be stiffer....jedster wrote:Just off to contemplate my own mortality and inevitable descent into decrepedness.
FCN 8 off road because I'm too old to go racing around.0 -

At the end, for that kind of money, I don't think that there is a bad fork.0 -
ok then the only issue is the brake mounting then.
Post or IS."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
