Buckled rear wheel. What to do please.
Hi,
commuting back from work last night in the dark, my bike did not handle the way it usually does. On inspection this morning I think the rear wheel is slightly buckled.
I`ve spun it up and to the eye it looks slightly out of true in one place and if I apply the rear brake slowly you can hear it hitting one spot.
I`ve checked the spokes and nothing appears loose and the tyre is still inflated to its working pressure.
The wheels are Alex DA22 OE an a three month old SCR2 and they have done about 1800 miles.
Can the wheel be straightened or do I have to look at a replacement? Don`t know if the wheels carry any sort of warranty.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the wheel needs re-truing. LBS will do it for (probably) less than £10 or you can DIY with a spoke key.Happens quite a lot and you certainly should'nt need a new wheel.
I'm slightly surprised you noticed a handling difference from a slight buckle - I'd check the rest of the bike carefully for any other problems.
Rats - dind't notice the double post.0 -
Most likely easy to fix and very common - have look here:
