Sometimes different brake rotor adaptors and a different lever if the two levers are not identical (depends on the specific brakes)

Some levers like Avid are able to go either way, others like Hope or Shimano are Left/Right specific. Otherwise, they sre generally the same.

some levers are sided as well.
