Boy am I knackered!! :D

Had a blast though. Some great riding. Some of the rocky paths got a bit wearing though. Talk about rattling your fillings out. Loved the down hill sections and drop-offs etc

Was very busy. Loads of guys out there. Guess it was because of the nice weather.

Only down side......£7 to park

Just back from Dalby here too. Enjoyed today however only got half way round the red as we ran out of time and forgot about getting dark earlier. Took a shortcut from Dixons Hollow on the road across to rejoin the bottom end of the red.

Second time ive been there in two weeks and still not got all the way round. The £7 is a bit steep like but you can get an annual for £40 ish quid which isnt bad i suupose.

There were the odd soggy bits but mostly its holding up well but quite rocky in places - not the evil huge type but if we wanted it smooth we would be roadies.

    Season pass is £35

Yeah £7 is a little steep, but IMHO worth it if you're there all day.

  • Aye, you cant beat a good burst round Dalby. Been there many times in the past year, the good thing is you dont need to plan for it, just get up and go.

Me and my bro have just purchased some lights and are thinking of doing some night rides up there, should be fun...

There was some cars in front of me that were obviously going in on a pass. I live nearly 70 miles away so probably wouldn't get full advantage of the pass.

With regard to the rocky bits. As you say not huge stones but a fter a while i found myself feeling a bit battered by them all. May be its down to my crap forks (Dart 3's)

Will definitely go back in the near future. Took some pics on my phone but cant be arsed to download them right now

    Hi Rich

Did you find it too busy? I heard the trails can get pretty clogged with riders these days. Haven't been for a while (no excuse as I only live down the road on the coast) but I heard it' gets packed now and as i remember it;s mostly singletrack - I don't want to end up holding up a train of riders!!

It does depend on when you go but most of the times that I've been I've only ever encountered a couple of riders on the red route.

it was quite busy. A couple of groups with fairly large numbers. I just find an appropriate place to let them past, and catch my breath! But they seemed to stop at almost every fire road, so we passed them as they stopped and then had to wait again a bit later on for them to come steaming through. All very good natured and polite etc, even a bit of banter, so it didnt detract from the experience at all

  • Dalby is great, the only problem is as the trail is all weather and the packing they use must contain a lot of salt so wash of your bikes in great detail as all you components will get rusty very quick...
Hi all, new to the forum, I live in Stockton (Warwickshire) and even though I have a few riding buddies I am always looking for other people to go out riding with or even talking " nuts & bolts" guys or girls!!!...
