Hi, this is one of the most asked questions and everyone has their own opinion :?
Personally i have tried many lubes and keep coming back to general purpose oil like 3 in 1.
I remove the chain every couple of weeks thanks to a (sram powerlink) and clean in white spirit. Refit and lube with oil and it runs as sweet as a nut :D

Does a reasonable job - reasonable price.

On the dry bike finish line dry, on the wet weather bike finish line wet. the dry stuff is much better at staying clean for a prolonged period of time. I think that wet lubes are okay but that they pick up dirt very quickly - better if you regularly ride the bike in filthy conditions though.
