A proposal...

Ok we have 2 camps:

Camp 1: Says 'Lets watch cycling and enjoy it for what it is'

Camp 2:Says 'There's alot of pro's - maybe not all - doping and the're ruining our viewing enjoyment'

I call for a truce and either no one mentions drugs on this forum unless the rider/s in question give a + (A, not B - we've got be be realistic)
or
We ask br.com to set up another section called 'Dopes' for those who want to chat about that subject ad infinitum/nauseaum
'Do not compare your bike to others, for always there will be greater and lesser bikes'

    There used to be a Bikeradar forum called "the Pharmacy" where people were supposed to talk about doping. It got deleted because no-one used it... everyone talked about doping in this forum instead. Why? Well, because doping is a part of bike racing - there's simply no getting away from that fact and it would be naive to claim otherwise. It's impossible to separate the two issues.

    You can't talk about doping without referring to pro cycling and you can't talk about pro cycling without referring to doping. That's life.

    Right, and also, to not talk about it and voice concerns would be to just bury our heads in the sand. Disagreements are really not a problem in debate. The problem is when there is no debate.

    you be better off the other way round

    a separate race forum that was race tactics and road events only....

    I would go there .. I can talk a good race

    ie if you DIDN'T want to talk about drugs you have to vier off the path

    but drugs and cycle racing are tied at the hip

    Just choose the links you want. But you couldn't talk about the Tour without mentioning Ricco or Kohl for long.

    But it's like trying to talk about skiing without talking about snow, like Perry Mason without a case or Farrah Fawcett without her face.

    I was with you there, until you mentioned her.....Can't say she had a memorable face, or anything else! :oops:

    The Admins could do exactly what you suggest, and then you could sit back and watch no one pay attention to it. If you dont like the doping threads dont read them, if someone mentions doping in a post skip it, if a thread is overun with doping posts then your stuffed :shock: we are all gossips :roll:
    Take care of the luxuries and the necessites will take care of themselves.
