hello, i do mainly xc in the week but weekends im on dartmoor. i know my rockhopper can handle it but just feel i would be better off on a full sus. getting into jumping a bit now and also a little bit of downhill. i have only had the hopper for 5 months so would rather get rid of it now before i spend anymore money on it and also scratch it even more! zesty 314 is an all mountain 140mm travel bike which as far as i know will do it all. i think i have talked myself into buying it but is it over kill or am i just stalling the inevitable. are `all mountain` really jack of all trades or just average at everthing, am i missing something i will regret later on.

I've just upgraded to a new bike, front suspension

With a little skill and grace you can ride over virtually anything on your rockhopper (epic drops, huge jumps aside)

I used to ride a completely rigid bike, occasional jumps, drops up to about 2-3ft not a problem. You might taco the odd wheel or break a seat post but the world won't end
