Windproof Jacket

Want to get a waterproof/windproof jacket for the short "commute" to uni, all of 2 miles in each direction (but done twice there and back everyday)

Was looking at Gore-tex stuff, but £150 for a black jacket is a bit steep, I want something thats not plastered in logos so I can wear it normally as well, think more North face than Altura.

Any cheaper suggestions say up to 60-70?

got one of this few days ago. it say its waterproof but i find it work really well as a windproof jacket too. i just wear a baselayer under that and it keep me warm for my commuting (2.5 miles each way) specially for the past couple of day with 29+ mph wind

Altura Nevis or Night Vision jacket works a treat - I wear it as a "normal" jacket when it's not raining too (no hood)! Breathable and very waterproof.

Altura Kinetic Windproof Jersey

Great winter top as well as excellent windproof. Have used one of these over a base layer down to -5C. Reflective piping too and a waterproof pocket on the rear of the jersey. Even seems to be reasonably water resistant too.
