i know there are alot of us who aim our lights at a good angle so that we dont blind the cars coming towards us, but for me its getting more annoying when you have stupid car drivers who insist on having their high beam on even when you have really bright front lights, i had a couple on the way home the other day and i couldn't see anything till they went past

Happens.....just look at the road/verge and hope there is nothing in front on your lane.....

I assume it's un-lit lanes. PS what lights are you using ?

All you have to do is veer into their path holding your hand in front of your face and most drivers have visions of a long evening of questioning.

In semi seriousness, I do sometimes get right in their view like that - at a respectful distance - and I flash my hand in front of lights, or mime being blinded. It often works.

Its not that bad a transgression - in the truest sense of the word I think its ignorance and drivers do dip their beams when they twig.

Now, if its a Nova with fog lamps....

Driving with the fog lamps on, when not necessary - £40 on the spot fine. Lot of wannabe Seb Loeb's out there though. Reference the original concern. A bad time of year to be blinded, what with the debris coming out of the trees in this wind. Along with the wheelbreaking potholes we seem to have around here!

The majority of drivers haven't got a clue how to adjust their headlights and many aren't aligned correctly anyway (drivers and their lights)..... w******* , the lot of them :?

Since i bought my fenix i havent had any drivers dazzling me. I would try angling them higher ? And a peak on the helmet or a cap underneath is really handy to avoid being dazzled.

On unlit roads I can kinda see why they do it, but around here - suburbia - you see it all the time and it unwantedn and unnecessary. :x

In slight defense of front fog lights - on very wet and or dark back roads, they do allow you to see the road surface more clearly which is useful (not enough drivers take the condition of the surface into consideration, just visibility).

However a lot of daytime fog light users do it to try and look cool - apparently (this is from Max Power types) it makes the front spoiler look lower and more aggressive... :?: :lol::lol:

I've been dazzled a few times - I just close one eye to retain my night vision (in one eye anyway!).

when I started using my Fenix L2D on otherwise unlit roads I noticed drivers started dipping their headlights in plenty of time. Well impressed with the thing!

I went out the other night with the following lights on my bars:
    Hope Vision HID
    Hope Led One on flashing
Niteflux Photon 4 LED on flashing.

Cars weren't just dipping there headlights they were slowing down to a crawl as they drove passed me on the other side of the road :D:D

Why is it that most of the cars that have one light out or on 'sidelight' have the other one on full beam, either pointing up in the air or at least right in your eye??
Is it compulsory or do they know one light is cr@p so the full beam is a sort of compensation.... :?

They use it as an excuse if they get stopped around here by the police. "Yes officer, I knew it was out, I was just on my way to get it fixed.. the high beam..? ..well it helps me see" SLAP!

Theres a car I see every morning that has broken headlights. Must keep a pen and paper on me and try and note it down next week. :?
