Purple extreme on cables..

Hi,

Just about to replace my shifters and install new cables.. I have some purple extreme which was highly recommended for my chain.. Just wondering if its any good for cables??

    I wouldn't use it, but that's 'cos I don't like Purple Extreme! :cry:

    I usually use a light lube (Multilube +) on the inners, slide it in/out a few times, then wipe off all the excess thoroughly. Any oily residue on the inner will just attract muck. IIRC Purple Extreme has a solvent which cleans, and then dries-on, which I wouldn't think was desirable with cables.
